Hey everyone! We are back from our little break from the show, and it's good to be back! This week we got to talk with Josh Dahl creator/writer of Rapid City: Below Zero. This book takes a different approach in comics. Based on the perspective of the villans side of the story. Thats right, this is no hero comic.
Rapid city follows Icicle and her fight against the super villan Coil.
And awesome take in comic writing, we feel. Sure there have been other super villian teams but one of the coolest things about this one is from where the story content comes from. Josh is actually a teacher at a juvenile detention facility. So he gets first hand content of the criminal world.
This first issue is strictly done in black and white, only because the artist Shawn Langley didn't know their printer could do gray tones. But now he knows the new pages in the up coming issue 2 is freaking gorgeous. Not that issue one was bad. Issue #2 is hopefully making its way to us by the end of the year. We are excited!
Ok, so we herd a bit ago about the plot of the new Terminator: Genisys . Not very excited about this story, but Josh gave us a good insight on the direction which made it sound like it could work. But for all of you out there, here is what we have heard about the story:
"Sarah Connor was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. Since then, she's been raised by Schwarzenegger's Terminator—an older T-800 she calls "Pops"—who is programmed to guard rather than to kill. As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who's great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion."
...so, with that, make your desision. Could work, but we don't see it being very good.
Ok all you geeks and nerds out there (us included). Back in 1989, Robert Zemekick wow'd us with an amazing piece of tech that we all drooled over when saw the hoverboards in Back to the Future 2. Now, it looks as though this dream is finally coming true. One of the coolest things about this is that the movie took place in 2015. Guess what next year is? Thats right 2015!!! Is Robert Zemekis psychic? Doubtful but take a look at this:
The Hendo Hoverboard. This is a Kickstarter project currently running and is looking for $250,000 and after only about a week, they have doubled their goal. Run by their "White Box" technology, they are really looking to make this happen. I have seen a few YouTube trying to Debunk this project, but decide for yourself. Here is the link the Hendo Kickstarter page.
